This Kazakh Volleyball Player Is Too Beautiful To Play Volleyball According To Critics.

Sup Travellers?! Volleyball is a beautiful sport but some people are having a hard time basking in the beauty because 18-year-old Sabina Altynbekova is distracting all the fans from the game according to all her team mates, her coach and the media outlets in her country of Kazakhstan.

No one knew who Sabina Altynbekova was until she turned up in the Taiwanese capital Taipei to compete for Kazakhstan in the Asian Under-19 Championships. A whole lot of the local journalists covering the game weren't writing diddly-squat about the game but were dedicating 10 page picture features about her and her alone.

This is obviously frustrating for the other players because they worked their butts off on the field of play only to get basically 0 attention from media outlets in Taiwan.

They has been a lot of complaints by media outlets in Kazakhstan that not enough is being said about the championship and the performances of the girls.

"Fans just stare at her and they are not following the championship any more," reported Vesti, a respected Kazakh daily paper.

Even her coach on Kazakhstan's Under-19 national team has complained about it. Nurlan Sadikov told Tengrin News: "It is impossible to work like this. The crowd behaves like there is only one player at the championship."

Millions of people have been liking and sharing her photos online making Sabina the most famous volleyball player in Kazakhstan while barely anyone even knows the names of her team mates.

Ms. Altynbekova  has said that she is very flattered by the attention, but she appealed for fans to stop setting up social media pages in her honor and instead focus on the volleyball.

"I was flattered at first but it's all getting a little bit much,' she said. 'I want to concentrate on playing volleyball and to be famous for that, not anything else."

This isn't weird at all. This happens in almost every sport. During the World Cup the only player most girls knew about were Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar. Don't act like this only happens in Volleyball. I mean, I can understand the distraction because I've been to a women's volleyball match already and it was pretty distraction but I didn't take time out of my day to make Facebook pages and twitter handles dedicated to the players. Or did I? Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
