Girl's iPhone Catches Fire in Her Pants.

Sup Travellers?! When someone tells you that the iPhone is the hottest thing around you better believe them. Because with every download of Beyonce's new album on iTunes and with every stream of the brand new Hunger Games you never know when your iPhone could be the next Catching Fire. A 13 year old girl from Maine was unlucky enough to have her iPhone catch a fire in her pants.

Reports from USA Today says that the 13 year old suffered first- and second-degree burns when her iPhone caught a fire. The unfortunate incident occurred when the girl sat down in school with her iPhone in her back pocket. A short while after she said that she heard a popping sound from the back pocket where her phone was located, and noticed smoke. The girl's friends asked boys to step outside as she removed her pants [because when a girl's pants is on fire it's always good to be a gentleman]. The teacher brought her a blanket and she was later carried to the hospital where she was treated then released.

Officials aren't sure about what caused the fire but one speculates to Seacoast Online that the phone's battery "shorted out" when the girl sat down. “People should obviously use caution when placing their phones in their back pockets so as not to crush them and cause an electrical short,” he says.

Apple hasn't responded to the report but the case of the fire being caused by a factory defect is hardly unlikely. This should in no way affect the sales of upcoming Apple products because out of the millions of Apple products that have been sold the chances of one catching a fire is 1 in millions.
