Sup Travellers?! There are certain places in this world that should never have minors. I could go on and list a bunch of places but I think i'll just list one. A minor should never EVER be in a strip club especially as a stripper. That's only asking for trouble. But a strip club in Miami seemed unaware of that fact because they had a 13 year old working the poles as jail bait. She was also forced into prostitution according to reports from the Miami Herald.

The reports say that the 13 year old girl, known only as D.J., ran away from home on December 10 and managed to find herself in a strip club. Her mother found her out on the streets in January 6, near North Miami Ave. She worked as a stripper and prostitute between December 10th 2013 when she ran away and January 6th 2014 when her mother found her. She was reportedly picked by a man named named Audelin Pierre, after she ran away, who brought her to the Miami home of Vilbert Jean, 37, Marlene San Vincente, 22, and DeWayne Ward, 18.

The trio demanded that D.J. pay to stay there. Pierre brought a man to the home and D.J. had sex with him for $80.  D.J. refused to prostitute herself after that, so San Vincente made arrangements for D.J. to work at the strip club under the name “Peaches". She made as much as $500 a night working the poles but the Pimps took all the money she made. According to police, she was forced to have sex with Ward on at least six occasions. DJ told police that the men dealt drugs and they threatened her with guns if she tried to run away.

Jean, San Vincente, and Ward were all charged with human trafficking, lewd and lascivious conduct on a person under 16, delivering a controlled substance to a person under 18 and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Pierre was later charged with Human trafficking, procuring a person under 18 for prostitution, contributing to delinquency/dependency of a child, and other charges. They face life in prison if convicted. Neither the club’s owner or management has been charged in the incident yet. City manager Jimmy Morales shut down the club for six months, saying “If it is so easy for human traffickers to kidnap a 13-year-old girl and bring her to the club without anyone noticing, how can we be sure that this is not going to happen again to other young girls in our community?”

The reports haven't clearly stated what will happen to DJ. Based on what I've read she is more of a victim rather than a suspect even though some of her actions may have led to the predicament that she found herself in. DJ claimed that she was forced to do it and was not in anyway responsible for her decisions despite the fact that she never provided any form of identification to verify her age. While being held San Vincente claimed that she didn’t know the girl was 13, saying she was told D.J. was an 18 year old with kids of her own.  She denies that D.J. was forced to do it, saying she did it “voluntarily” and “there were no guns”. Now it's just a matter of seeing which testimony will stand up in court. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
