TRINIDAD: Trinidad And Tobago Is The Happiest Country In The Caribbean.

Sup Travellers?! Trinidad and Tobago is without a doubt not a perfect place. I'm from Trinidad but i'm not going to lie and say that every aspect of the country is a friggin paradise. It's a great country but it's not perfect. However, the slight pepper imperfections haven't seemed to stop us from being HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!! This is according to a report from the 2013 World Happiness Report from the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network that ranked Trinidad and Tobago as the happiest country in the Caribbean.

Last year, a survey conducted by Gallup world survey found Trinidad and Tobago to be the fifth happiest country in THE WORLD!! And another report released this year by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network ranked Trinidad and Tobago as the happiest country in the Caribbean and the 31st happiest country in the world. So from all these polls and surveys we can conclude that Trinidad and Tobago is a HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY place. Can we? I personally agree with these surveys. I don't know everyone in Trinidad but I think Trinidadians are a group of really happy people. If you're reading this and you're from Trinidad, answer this. Are you happy?

The report looks at what it found to be six key variables: “real GDP per capita, healthy life expectancy, having someone to count on, perceived freedom to make life choices, freedom from corruption and generosity.” Only five Caribbean countries were included in the list though. The Caribbean countries that were on the list were Suriname (RANK 40), Jamaica (RANK 75), the Dominican Republic (RANK 95) and Haiti (RANK 126) and well of course, Trinidad and Tobago (RANK 31). These were the only Caribbean countries where all the necessary data was available for processing. Oh wait, just as a side note. Denmark was ranked as the happiest country in the world. You can read the complete report by clicking here. It's a really long report but if you want to see the ranks just go to page 23 and you'll find it. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
