ENTERTAINMENT: 16 Year Old New Zealander Dominates Charts In The US. The Next Big Thing.

Sup Travellers?! Have you ever heard of Lorde? She's a 16 year old singer/songwriter from New Zealand who's very well known. Well she is very well known now, a few months aback no one knew who she was. She released her first EP in March of 2013 and the song got quite a buzz. But her latest song and music video seem to be getting all the attention.

Ella Yelich-O'Connor, also known as Lorde came out of nowhere and topped charts all over the world with her song, Royals. The song rose five spots from number 8 just recently on the Billboard Hot 100 making her song one of the most successful for the year. Royals also topped the Digital Gainer chart for the fourth time in five weeks, reached No 2 on the Digital Songs List and broke the top Streaming Songs. This 16 year old is topping all kind of charts. The single has also held its position at the top of the Alternative Songs airplay chart for a fifth week, tying with Alanis Morrisette's You Oughtta Know for the longest domination on the ranking by a solo female. Where the hell did this chick come from?

Not very often do New Zealanders top charts in the US. It's a rare occurrence. The singer rose to fame after she covered Hold my liquor by Kanye West. She was discovered by Universal records and the rest is history..LOL. What an amazing start for a 16 year old. Hopefully she could keep up the progress and not become a "has been". Anyway, whatever happens, it doesn't change the fact that my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
