TRINIDAD: Pundit From Trinidad Shot Dead In His Car.

Sup Travellers?! I strongly believe that most murders in Trinidad and Tobago have an interesting back story that led to the initial killing. Most, not all. I refuse to believe that killers are just going around killing random people in the streets. I refuse to believe that a group of killers just saw father of two, Ganesh Ramroop, and decided to kill him. He was murdered while awaiting the arrival of his cousin near the Chase Village Flyover in Chaguanas on Friday night. It could have been a mistake as well though. The killers may have mistaken him for someone else but we won't really know for sure, now would we?

According to reports from the Trinidad and Tobago Newsday 44 year old Ganesh Ramroop was shot once in the chest while driving his cousin's vehicle. According to police reports, shortly after 7 pm on Friday, a white Nissan AD wagon was spotted by a passers-by off the roadway. The body of a man later identified as Ramroop was found slumped upon the steering wheel with a bullet wound to the chest. Ramroop, a practicing pundit was the father of two sons, Vinood, 16 and Sanjay, 19.

Ramroop's mother, Soonia of 64 years seems very convinced that her son was innocent and that he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. "That bullet was not meant for my son and I think he was at the wrong place at the wrong time,” a grief-strucken Soonia told Sunday Newsday at the family home. But she could never really be sure but maybe he was innocent. The police need to keep investigating the case and find the motive for the killing as soon as possible because Ramroop's family could be in danger as well. R.I.P Ganesh Ramroop. My name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
