TRINIDAD: Trinidadian Man Jailed For Having Scissors.

Sup Travellers?! Let's talk about scissors shall we. Have you ever heard the saying, "don't run with scissors"? Well, have you ever heard the saying, "don't run with scissors with an intent to wound"? If you answered yes to those two questions then you have probably managed to stay out of jail unlike a Trini man named Garnet Caperlton. Read on.

According to reports from the Trinidad and Tobago Newsday a man by the name of Garnet Caperlton was sentenced to two months in jail for having a pair of scissors in his possession with intent to wound. Police prosecutor Sgt Karen Arthur told the court that on Sunday at about 1.30 am police searched him along Independence Square, Port-of-Spain, and found the scissors . When arrested, he told police that a man named Jerry interfered with him, and he was “not going through that again.” Caperlton added he had the scissors to protect himself from Jerry. Arthur further told the court that Caperlton upon arrest said: “ This is a small fine and my dawgs will pay that.

I don't think that the man is being jailed for having scissors but for basically telling the police his plans. If the police catch you with a sharp object you don't tell them you are going to use it against someone. I mean, he was honest and it's a good thing that the police caught him before he did something stupid but LOL. Mr. Caperlton had that jail sentence coming if you ask me. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
