ENTERTAINMENT: Selena Gomez's Album Knocks Jay Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail From The Top Spot.

Sup Travellers?! If you've been following the music industry lately you'd be aware that Jay Z's album, "Magna Carta... Holy Grail" was the number one album in the world for quite a while. However, Jay Z had to calm himself when Selena Gomez came in and took the spotlight. Yes... Selena Gomez. Even though Selena Gomez is a great singer she never topped any Billboard charts with any of her albums.

This week, Selena Gomez collects her first No. 1 title on the Billboard 200 with the arrival of "Stars Dance." The Hollywood Records release sold 97,000 copies in its first week -- a career-high for the singer. Her 2009 debut, "Kiss and Tell," opened at No. 9 with nearly 66,000. It was followed by the No. 4-ranking "A Year Without Rain" in 2010 which slightly exceeded 66,000 and then 2011's "When the Sun Goes Down" with a No. 3 opening. It seems as though each of her albums just get higher and higher in the charts. Did Justin Bieber have anything to do with it? Who am I to judge? LOL.

In case you didn't know, Selena Gomez is also the youngest  solo female artist to hit No. 1 since her friend Taylor Swift in 2010. I'm probably not going to buy Selena Gomez's albums but the success of the album is still one to take note of. Congratulations!! Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
