Sup Travellers?! What happened to a 17 year old from Trinidad and Tobago recently is something that you won't wish upon anybody that young. It's unbelievable, however some people may find it believable because similar shit things have happened before. But it doesn't change the fact that this is horrible.

According to reports from the Trinidad Express, a 17 year old girl from Moruga named Sunshine Alred was found dead after she went missing for up to three days. Her body was found by a resident of Cedar Hill in a cane field at about 5:20 pm on Wednesday. The man became aware of the body after he inhaled a foul stench while walking along Solomon Trace.

Pathologist Dr Valery Alexandrov concluded that Alfred died from the three stab wounds to the left side of her neck. She had been most likely beaten unconscious, Dr Alexandrov found. It was reported by the Trinidad Express that she left a friend's house on Monday but never returned home.

Her cousin, Sade Simon, said that she called Alfred's phone at about 1:30 am on Tuesday and a man answered the phone and said he had her phone because she was in his taxi. He said she and a boy got into the back seat of a car at  Library Corner, and the boy was hitting the girl and shouting at her.

Simon said the “taxi-driver” also claimed a gun was put to his head by Alfred’s angry boyfriend who told him to drive.

The man said the boy was hitting her in the car, but he was afraid to look back because the boy had a gun. He said he drove to Princes Town when the boy stopped him in a lonely area and threw the girl out the car. He said the boy took his ID card and told him he would kill him if he told the police what happened. The man said he dropped the boy in San Fernando and drove away”, said Simon.

Neighbours said there were two men who had been stalking Alfred. “They would find her wherever she went. When she was travelling, going to the bank, or on High Street, they would be watching her,” said a neighbour.

I definitely feel for the family of the young girl. The guy or guys that killed her need to face the full blunt of the law. I'm not sure if they will but in the end, justice will be served. What could young Alfred possibly have done to deserve to die? I don't know but at the end of the day it doesn't change the fact that my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
