Joe Russo Says That Avengers 4 Is Currently 3 Hours Long.

Avengers: Infinity took the cake as the longest Marvel movie ever at 149 minutes. But it seems like Avengers 4 is about to do outdo its predecessor.
During a live-streamed Q&A director Joe Russo was asked a few questions about the upcoming Avengers film.

When asked how long AVENGERS 4 is at the moment, Joe Russo said that "The running time on Avengers 4 is currently sitting right at three hours. We’ll see if that holds. We’re about halfway through the editing process. We’re really just scratching the surface on all of our VFX shots," Russo continued. "There are more than 3,000 VFX shots in the movie; those require a lot of time and thought and energy and effort, and we’re very early in the phase of getting VFX done. We’ve just started work with Alan Silvestri on the score, and we’re still editing picture at this point. It's difficult to tell if the film is going to remain at 3 hours given that they are only halfway through the editing process.

And come to think of it, 3 hours is a very long time to hold the attention of the audience but if it's an epic film I can sit through it for way more than 3 hours.

I'm pretty sure they are going to cut it down a little bit as the editing continues.

Avengers 4 is scheduled for a May 3, 2019 release.
