Topher Grace Thinks That Tom Hardy's Venom Is Already Better Than His.

Tom Hardy's Venom so far looks like it is going to be absolutely amazing and even Topher Grace the man who played Venom before is admitting that. If you're not excited for Venom yet, get excited.
Before Tom Hardy's Venom, there was Topher Grace's Venom in Spiderman 3 but in all honesty, Grace's Venom wasn't a very memorable one. Sony just did a horrible job at portraying Venom. But now, over 10 years later, Sony has decided to give Venom another shot and they have really impressed the world with this one.

Topher Grace himself has admitted that this Sam Raimi directed Venom is already better that his Todd McFarlene directed Venom.

"I understand Sam’s interpretation, which was to do a dark version of Tobey [Maguire]’s character," Grace said. "I was thrilled because I was such a fan of the character, but I was aware of how it was different from what I had grown up reading. I thought it was cool, but I’m really excited to see [Tom Hardy’s version]. That’s the character I grew up with."

Grace continued: "To me — I truly mean this — I think Tom is the guy to play that role. I’m thrilled to watch it as a fan. I really mean that. I think he’s just the best dude."

The failure of the previous Venom had nothing to do with Topher Grace himself. It was simply a casualty of poor decision making. And I'm really glad that Grace could humble himself to appreciate Tom Hardy's version more than his own.

VENOM is set to hit theaters October 5, 2018.
