Jared Leto To Play Morbius The Living Vampire In Spiderman Spin-Off

Jared Leto has proven himself to be quite capable of impressive performances with his role as Joker in Suicide Squad being one of his best.

But Leto's time in the comic book realm seems to not be limited to DC as he is slightly stepping into the Marvel universe. According to reports, he will be playing Morbius The Living Vampire in the latest installment of Sony's Spiderman Universe, which, ultimately does not feature Spiderman.

The film will be directed by Daniel Espinosa and will follow Dr. Michael Morbius, "a scientist who suffered from a rare blood disease and attempted to cure himself to disastrous results. Instead of being cured, he became afflicted with a condition that was a form of vampirism — the thirst for blood, along with fangs and super strength."

There is currently no release date for the film but production is expected to begin later this year.

Jared Leto will also be reprising his role as The Joker in a Suicide Squad spin-off so the actor will be very busy.
