Cast For Star Wars: Episode IX Announced; Filming Begins Next Week.

I'm not super excited about the new Star Wars: Episode IX but I'm a movie guy so I'll be watching it simply because it's A NEW STAR WARS MOVIE!

Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled to begin filming at London’s Pinewood Studios on August 1, 2018 and the cast has officially been released. And to not much surprise, the original cast is still there. But we've got as few new names.

Here is the official cast list: Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joona Suotamo, and Billie Lourd will all be returning, along with Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, and Carrie Fisher.

The most surprising name on this list is Carrie Fisher. According to Princess Leia will be making a return in the new Star Wars film. And it's easy to believe that they may just bring her back with CGI but according to Lucas Films, that's not going to happen. So I'm assuming that they are going to use some unreleased footage.

"We desperately loved Carrie Fisher," Abrams said. "Finding a truly satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga without her eluded us. We were never going to recast, or use a CG character. With the support and blessing from her daughter, Billie, we have found a way to honor Carrie’s legacy and role as Leia in Episode IX by using unseen footage we shot together in Episode VII."

Are you looking forward to seeing Star Wars: Episode IX?

My name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
