A Lord Of The Rings TV Series Is Coming To Amazon.

Amazon is about to develop the most EPIC series in the history of EPIC Amazon series and the writers of Star Trek 4 will be the ones spearheading it. Let's get right into the juicy details.

According to reports, Amazon Studios has just hired writers JD Payne and Patrick McKay to develop the long awaited Lord Of The Ring series.

The names "JD Payne and Patrick McKay" may not sound familiar to most people but they are currently the two most sought after writers in Hollywood at the moment. They recently wrote the script for "Star Trek 4", "Jungle Cruise" with Dwayne The Rock Johnson and Emily Blunt and their Blacklist script "Escape" which is set up to be produced by Mike De Luca.

The duo had some really heartfelt words to say about their upcoming adventure to Middle-Earth: “The rich world that J.R.R. Tolkien created is filled with majesty and heart, wisdom and complexity. We are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Amazon to bring it to life anew. We feel like Frodo, setting out from the Shire, with a great responsibility in our care — it is the beginning of the adventure of a lifetime.”

This new Lord Of The Ring series will follow the events before "The Fellowship Of The Ring" and just may focus on a young Aragorn but that is yet to be confirmed.

This is definitely going to be a massive series and if done right, Amazon could really become a leader in online streaming. This is definitely going to be their biggest project yet and I am eagerly awaiting its release.
