Saudi Husband Divorces Bride During Wedding After Seeing Her Face.

Sup Travellers?! I've never heard of a wedding where the groom and the bride meet for the first time on the wedding day but apparently that's a normal thing in some parts of the world like Saudi Arabia.

According to Daily Mail UK, a Saudi groom has divorced his bride on their wedding night after seeing her face for the first time when the photographer asked them to pose for pictures. When the bride removed her veil and smiled for the camera, her new husband leaped to his feet in disgust.

"You are not the girl I want to marry," he declared. "You are not the one I had imagined. I am sorry, but I divorce you."

The bride immediately collapsed in a fit of tears as panicked wedding guests stepped in to try to resolve the dispute.

"The groom said he had not been able to see his bride's face before marriage," Local Daily Okaz reported. "When he divorced her, the bride collapsed and the wedding turned into a night of tears."

The couple, from the Western Saudi town of Medinah, had agreed to marry each other despite having not met face to face - a popular custom in certain Middle Eastern countries.

Marriage means spending your entire life with someone that you love but how can you decide to spend your entire life with someone that you never saw before? I know that looks aren't everything and it's all about character but if looks aren't everything why did the groom have to act like a complete a*shole when he saw her face? I think that's the risk that comes with marrying someone without seeing them first.

Looking on both sides, maybe we can say that he was catfished but that's still not an excuse not to go on at least one date. ONE DATE!!! I'm not going to question the people's customs and practices but the groom is an a*shole. What kind of gentleman insults a woman on her wedding day?

Just to make things clear, the picture at the very top is a stock image and not the bride and groom in question.

Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
