Sup Travellers?! 24-year-old Daniela Liverani from Scotland had a 3-inch leech in her nose and she didn't even know it.

According to reports from the Daily Record Liverani was travelling around south-east Asia when she started suffering persistent nosebleeds. She blew off the possibility that it was anything serious simply jumping to the conclusion that it was just a small after affect of a recent motorbike accident she had.

It was only until months had passed that she had realized that there was actually a creature inside of her nose that was sucking her blood dry.

"I saw him so many times but I just sniffed him back up," she said. "I tried to blow him out and grab him but I couldn't get a grip of him before he retreated back up my nose."

It was when she stepped out of the shower on Thursday that she got "a proper good look" at "little ridges on him" in her steamy mirror. But in the shower she really didn't know what it was.

"Obviously my nasal passages would open up because of the steam and the heat and the water," Liverani told BBC News. "It would come out quite far, about as far as my lip. So I could kind of see it out of the corner of my eye but still didn't think it was a worm because it just looked like a blood clot."

A medical team explained to Liverani that the leech, which had been in there for at least 30 days, would have made its way into her brain. But doctors were able to remove the leech with a torch and tweezers.

Ms Liverani then took the leech home for the night, at the doctors' suggestion. However, Mr Curly did not live to see another day.

"He could move so fast as well," Liverani recalled when observing the creature that just exited her nostril. "[It] freaked me out. I've no idea how he got up there but he’d have got bigger and bigger from feeding on my blood."

I think we can all probably laugh at Liverani's episode now since the leech is out but if it had gotten into her brain it would have been a completely different story. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
