Chinese Teenager Dubbed "Giraffe Boy" To Undergo Surgery For His Extraordinarily Long Neck.

Sup Travellers?! 15-year-old Fu Wengui from Beijing is known very well in his home town as Giraffe Boy. Why do people call him Giraffe Boy, you ask?

Well, as you can see from the pictures above he has an extremely long neck that consists of 10 vertebrae. That is not a normal thing for a human being who is supposed to have only seven.

According to IB Times Wengui was reportedly born with several spinal disorders, including congenital scoliosis, and diagnosed with an abnormal chest frame at the age of six.

Congenital scoliosis is developed early on approximately within the first six weeks of embryonic formation.

The three extra vertebrae causes Wengui immense pain and makes it difficult for him to walk so he is now preparing to undergo surgery. A Beijing-based charity will sponsor his surgery at Chaoyang Hospital, which is working on a treatment plan, according to Quirky News' press release.

"I just hope I can have a normal neck," Wengui said.

It's amazing that with a little surgery Wengui can be a normal teenager again. Hopefully all goes well though. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
