There's A Bizarre New Selfie Trend In China With An Uplifting Message.

Sup Travellers?! China is known for many things and hairy armpit selfies is another addition to the things that they are known for.

Just recently, a whole bunch of Chinese women started posting photos of their armpit hair on social media and it has now become a trend.

The competition, called 'Girls not plucking their armpit hair' is said to be challenging social norms and encouraging women to keep their body hair and it has gotten over 28 million views on the campaign's page on Weibo and thousands of submissions since launching on July 17. The Weibo page is expected to release a list of the top 10 entrants.

This isn't the first time women started trends showing off hairy body parts. Last month, the Hairy Legs Club trend on tumblr was inviting women to post their photos to make a statement about social expectations of beauty.

Also female students at an Arizona university last month were being offered the chance to earn extra credit by not shaving their armpit hair for a whole semester. So this trend isn't really something that new.

I'm a guy and I don't have THAT much of a problem with armpit hair. But if a woman lifts her arm up and she looks like if at any moment she could fly away with her big hairy wings then there is a huge problem. Anything in excess is bad and if a woman can't learn when its time to shave her armpits then I don't think a fancy internet trend can help. I'm just saying. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
