The San Antonio Spurs Just Hired The First Female Coach In NBA History.

Sup Travellers?! 37-year-old Becky Hammon just became the first female to hold a full-time NBA coaching position in league history and whether male or female I'm sure we can all be happy for her.

The retired WNBA player is set to coach the NBA Champions, San Antonio Spurs for the new season and her experience with all things basketball makes her the perfect gal for the job. Hammon is a 6-time WNBA All-Star.

For 5 seasons, from 2007-2011, Hammon was a star player on the WNBA team the San Antonio Silver Stars, and enjoyed a career year in 2009, when she averaged 19.5 points, 5 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game.

"I’m up for challenges. I’m up for being outside the box, making tough decisions and challenges. … And I’m a little bit of an adrenaline junkie. Throw those all in there and this was the perfect challenge and opportunity." Hammon says.

Good luck to her on her new endeavor of winning championships as the first female coach in NBA history. Woudn't it be awesome if the Spurs actually won? Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
