This "Brooklyn Girls" Music Video Will Make You Think Differently About Girls From NYC. Or Not.

Sup Travellers?! I can't really comment much about the accuracy of this music video because I've never been to Brooklyn but based on the comments and the number of dislikes below the video I came to the conclusion that the music video is a poor representation of Brooklyn Girls.

Catey Shaw is the vocalist in the video but despite her really great voice the music video didn't seem to connect with many locals who couldn't help themselves but give her attempt a thumbs down.

One commenter wrote: "I mean sure it's pretentious and has that "I just moved here a month ago, I'm such a local" vibe to it but it's nowhere near the "Rebecca Black bad" that Vice is trying to claim." [I don't know who's VICE and where his comment is.]

Another wrote: "Its not that she's a terrible performer, she's not and she seems fairly talented, but this is just more try-hard, "LOOK AT HOW OBSCURE I AM", hipster shit that we've been getting lately. I mean it's bad enough that this chick and her "kind" (from VA or OH) wasn't EVEN BORN IN BROOKLYN, came here and  gentrified the place all up but she also feels that it's "cool / edgy" to write a song about practically colonizing the goddamn local area with a Starbucks flag...fuck you lady."

I don't get why so many people are hating on this video. I read all the comments but I still don't get it. But maybe I'm not supposed to. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
