Nepali Girl Commits Suicide After Brazil's Loss In The World Cup Semifinals.

Sup Travellers?! The whole of Brazil was on suicide watch after Germany's annihilating victory over the host nation but little did we know that the first suicide as a result of the game would have come all the way from South Asia.

According to reports from India Today, a diehard 15-year-old fan of Brazil in Nepal committed suicide on Wednesday after the South American nation's humiliating defeat at the hands of Germany in the 2014 FIFA World Cup semifinal.

Pragya Thapa reportedly hanged herself the Wednesday morning. She became disheartened after her friends teased her that her team had suffered a humiliating loss to Germany but the nail was applied to the teen's coffin when her mother and sister joined her friends and took Germany's side as well. After a brief discussion with her friends about the World Cup game, she studied for a while in her room before committing suicide.

"She (Pragya) was anxious to see Brazil in the final but it went down to Germany. Some of her friends started teasing her for supporting Brazil. Later in the morning, she took such an extreme measure hanging herself in her own room," Sharad Thapa, a Nepal Police inspector, said after preliminary investigation.

A lot of non-Brazilian fans took the matter as a joke but Brazil's 7-1 defeat is very serious for the diehard supporters. The feeling probably could be compared to the death of a loved one to some and that is not something to take lightly. If you watched the fans in the stands after the game you could have seen the grief in their faces as their beloved nation was demolished by their German foes. It was a sad day in paradise for the host nation and a sad day for international football. My condolences. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed
