Nearly 30,000 Americans Skipped Work To Watch The World Cup Together.

Sup Travellers?! There's a rumor that says that Americans don't like European football but based on the statistics of yesterday's game I think we can throw that rumor in the bin.

In the U.S. Soccer Federation's home of Chicago on Tuesday, 28,000 fans skipped work and packed Soldier Field (an NFL stadium) to watch USA take on Belgium in the knockout round, according to Huffington Post. It was reported that as much 21 companies got absolutely nothing done that day.

Sadly, the US didn't win and are no longer in the World Cup but the game was nothing short of excitement as Belgium had 38 shots at goal and Tim Howard made 18 amazing saves. Was it worth skipping work? Well, that's not my call. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
