CAUGHT ON TAPE: Cop Repeatedly Punches Woman In Los Angeles.

Sup Travellers?! I'm not going to jump to any conclusions about this video but there isn't really much to speculate.

It is very clear that the Highway Patrol Officer was repeatedly punching a woman on the street. A couple of guys caught the whole thing in tape but little did they know after they started recording that the officer would have done the things he did and their laughter quickly grew hush.

CHP says the officer asked the woman to stop, but she refused and continued to walk away from him.

"A physical altercation ensued as the pedestrian continued to resist arrest, at which point a plain clothes, off duty officer assisted in applying the handcuffs," the CHP said in a statement.

Just earlier I shared an article about police being forced to wear cameras while on duty and based on this incident I think it really should be implemented. Luckily enough, the guys were there to record it because this may have just gone up in smoke.

To be fair, I think we should take into account the side of the officer because he could have had a valid reason to punch the lady. If the woman had a gun and the officer was trying to disarm her then I can kind of understand why he had to apply excessive force [KIND OF]. But the video clearly shows the woman walking away without any malicious intent. She was just walking away from the officer. What did she do to enrage the officer? I don't know but all sides must be taken into account before jumping to conclusions. From the perspective of the video, the officer is the guilty party.

The details are still sketchy and investigations are continuing. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
