Boy Has More Than 200 Teeth Removed From His Head.

Sup Travellers?! The average adult has 32 teeth but one 17-year-old boy from India shocked the world when he was found to have a WHOLE lot more than the average adult.

According to reports from BBC, Ashik Gavai had over 200 teeth removed from his mouth after doctors in India opened up a tumor. The boy complained of extreme pain in his jaw for more than a year before the surgery and the doctors in his small village in Western India were unable to diagnose the problem. The 17-year-old and his family decided to travel all the way to JJ Hospital  in Mumbai, India in order to to get a diagnosis.

Dr. Sunanda Dhiware, head of the hospital’s dental department, told BBC News that Gavai’s condition turned out to be  “a complex composite odontoma where a single gum forms lots of teeth. It’s a sort of benign tumor.”

And by “lots of teeth,” Dr. Dhiware meant literally hundreds of teeth. After going at the growth with a hammer and chisel, a team of two  surgeons and two assistants managed to extract about 232 tiny teeth from the boy’s lower jaw. Doctors say the condition could come back, especially if a tooth or fragment was left behind.

The doctors are planning on applying for the Guinness Book of World Records.because they presumably set the record of the most teeth taken out of a mouth. The previous highest was 37.

Now wouldn't that be a great accomplishment but I'm 100% sure that Gavai is less concerned about making into the Guinness Book of World Records and more concerned about keeping the number of teeth in his mouth below 33. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
