Sup Travellers?! SHARKS ARE DEADLY!! That's a fact of life that most of us have just internalized and come to accept. If I see a shark fin while in the beach the first thing that I'll do is RUN AND SCREAM LIKE A LITTLE GIRL!! I'm man enough to admit that. I've seen "Deep Blue Sea" like a thousand times and based on the movie I have come to the conclusion that sharks bite....HARD!!

However, 38-year-old Hannah Fraser — marine conservationist and professional mermaid — has a different feeling about sharks. She loves sharks so much that she actually sleeps dances with them. She usually wears her pretty cool mermaid tail while underwater but not when she's swimming with the sharks for the sake of not being mistaken for a fish.

In a statement, Fraser says,

“Many people have asked me why I would put my life on the line to do this, especially for dangerous predatory sharks.

We humans have a history of annihilating anything we see as a competition, so much so that we are now threatening our very existence on this planet.

I advocate for greater understanding and awareness for all sea creatures, and hope to inspire people to see that sharks, despite being one of the world’s most effective predators, are also intelligent, and magnificent animals worthy of protection.”

She is aware that shark attacks could be fatal, but insists that the creatures really do just want to coexist happily with humans. In 2013, 10 fatal shark attacks occurred worldwide, whereas humans kill 100 million sharks every year. She thus poses the question,

”Who are the real dangerous predators in this equation?”

As long as she knows what she's doing then she could swim with all the sharks she likes. I, on the other hand, will just observe and hope to God that that pretty little mermaid doesn't get eaten. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
