VIDEO: People Walk Past Loved Ones Disguised As Homeless On The Street! (Social Experiment)

Sup Travellers?! Do you ever take time out of your day to notice homeless people? Just notice them. Some people do but most people just pass them on the streets without even a glance. What if the homeless person was a family member, would you recognize them or just pass them? This the question a new campaign "Make Them Visible" is asking.

In a video produced by ad agency Silver + Partners and Smuggler for the New York City Rescue Mission, several people come face-to-face with their relatives and significant others dressed as homeless people. However, not a single participant recognizes their mother, brother or wife.

"The experiment is a powerful reminder that the homeless are people, just like us, with one exception," Craig Mayes, executive director of New York City Rescue Mission, said in a statement. "They are in trouble and in pain. And they are someone's uncle or cousin or wife."

It's sad but it's true. Most of you would probably say that you will recognize your own family member but when actually put out on the field will you? That's the question that the ad campaign is trying to answer and based on the results...YOU PROBABLY WON'T. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
