Sup Travellers?! Desperate times call for desperate measures and one mother from Alvin, Texas knew this very well when her daughter was attacked by a Pit bull. According to MyFox8, the incident occurred in March when Chelsi Camp and her 2-year-old daughter were dog sitting a friend's pit bull. The pit bull was usually friendly towards the family but on this day it attacked.

Camp let her own animal instincts kick in when she saw the dog attacking her daughter. She attacked the pit bull herself, biting off its ears in the process. When police showed up on the scene, the dog was still trying to attack the mother and the daughter. An officer shot the canine, and it was later euthanized.

"You do whatever you can," said Camp. "I don't have physical strength at my side."

The pit bull would have mauled 2-year-old Mackenzie Camp to death [knowing pit bulls] but thanks to her brave mother's intervention she left the ordeal alive. She had severe head and facial injuries but Mackenzie is reportedly doing fine now.

"The dog came up and he was just curious," recalled Camp. "When he smelled her, that's when you saw it flip because I think he smelled my dog on her," said Camp.

"I only know to fight so how else do you get somebody to stop," Camp explained. "I mean I would do the same thing with a human being."

Camp suffered wounds to her arms and hands and is recovering along with her daughter now at home.

"I can actually hold her again. I couldn't hold her for the first week that was the hardest part. She's a strong little girl and a fighter. She's meant to be here."

I've written stories on my blog about people being mauled to death by pit bulls. It's not a rare occurrence and Mackenzie's story could have easily been different if it wasn't for her brave mother. This story could have been one of tragedy but it's one of heroism. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
