Sup Travellers?! If you're reading this and you owe Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman money then I've got some good news for you. He has been arrested. The world's most wanted drug kingpin was captured at a hotel in Mazatlan by a joint US-Mexican force. Guzman runs Mexico's notorious Sinaloa Cartel. CNN reports that he has been on the run since 2001 when he escaped from a maximum security prison in a laundry truck [Real movie sh*t!!]

But even though he has been on the run since 2001 it doesn't seem like he was hiding. A man who doesn't want to be found does not book into a hotel overnight with a female companion. That's hiding in plain sight and that was probably his biggest mistake [other than dedicating a life to illegal drug trade]. Last year, the Chicago Crime Commission officially labeled Guzman "Public Enemy No. 1," a moniker that hadn't been used since the Al Capone era, because his cartel supplies most of the city's drugs. Sinaloa's reach is thought to extend all the way to Australia, specializing in cocaine and meth.

"Guzman was one of the world's most wanted men and the alleged head of a drug-running empire that spans continents," Holder said in a statement. "The criminal activity Guzman allegedly directed contributed to the death and destruction of millions of lives across the globe through drug addiction, violence, and corruption."

A senior administration official described the arrest as "huge" and said it was "a Mexican-led operation, but one with very strong U.S. government support."

"This has been a long time coming, and hopefully puts a rest to the nonsense that this Mexican government isn't focusing on security and that the U.S. and Mexico aren't working well together," the official told CNN. "They are, and we do."

El Chapo is just one fork in the road but there are other forkers out there who are going to take up the mantle. El Chapo's removal from the drug scene just means that the demand that was once supplied by him is going to change hands. Someone else is going to take his place because once there is DEMAND they will always be SUPPLY!!!! Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
