Sup Travellers?! I'm a bit late on this news but in case you were unaware of what transpired on Monday in the world of Hollywood i'm about to inform you. According to reports from basically every news site on the web, famed child actress Shirley Temple died on Monday of natural causes. She was an old woman and her death wasn't very sudden.  She passed away at her home in Woodside, California "surrounded by her family and caregivers."

Miss Temple rose to fame in the 1930's when she was just 3 years old. At six, she won a special kids' Oscar, making her the youngest ever to receive an Academy Award which is a record that she still holds today even in death. She appeared in as much as 46 films before she was 13 years of age and was America's biggest box-office draw for four consecutive years. Shirley Temple was the best thing since sliced bread back in the days. The bubbly little cutie was making $1,250 per week before she retired from the big screen when she was 21. She went on to become a US diplomat and foreign ambassador under four different presidents.

I wasn't around when Shirley Temple began and ended her acting career nor was I conceived. In the 1930's I wasn't even a thought but even though our generations are so far apart I still know who Shirley Temple is. Her name is one that you must have heard at some point in your life and it's amazing that the starlet lived so long especially after being in the public eye at such a young age. She should be an example for the young stars in Hollywood today. RIP Shirley Temple. My name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
