Powerful Quake Rocked The Coast Of Puerto Rico Today.

Sup Travellers?! The people of Puerto Rico were on high alert today when a 6.5 magnitude struck right off their coast. The US Geological Survey reports that the epicenter for the quake was in the Atlantic about 60 miles northwest of San Juan. The quake caused no major structural damage since it was off the coast but immediate structural damage was the least of Puerto Rico's problems.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said that the quake could trigger a local tsunami. "There is the small possibility of a local tsunami that could affect coasts located usually no more than a hundred kilometers from the earthquake epicenter," the tsunami center said. However a later update stated no tsunami was expected.

You want to know which country is close to Puerto Rico? Haiti!! Haiti is close to Puerto Rico. Why is Haiti relevant to this story, you ask? Well exactly 4 years ago, a powerful 7.0 quake rocked Haiti. EXACTLY 4 YEARS AGO!!! This is obviously just a mere coincidence but I just found it weird that it happened the way it did. Thank goodness that this earthquake didn't cause any immediate damage and no tsunami ensued. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
