Danish Woman Gang Raped In Delhi.

Sup Travellers?! If I had a dollar for every time I heard a story about a tourist getting gang raped in India, i'd be rich. The level of gang rapes on tourist in India is extremely high and the authorities aren't even denying that fact. Ranjana Kumari, director of a women's advocacy group in New Delhi said: "The message being sent to the world is that if you are a woman, you shouldn't come to India alone." Even though India is most definitely a beautiful place to visit maybe not enough work is being done to protect tourists from sexual predators.

Bloomberg reports that a 51 year old Danish woman was gang raped by as much as 8 men while in New Delhi on Tuesday. The woman says she was robbed and raped at knife-point between 5pm and 8pm last night, after asking for directions. She was trying to return to her hotel from the city's main shopping district but got lost. She says she was taken to an unpopulated spot near the city's rail station where the incident went down. The woman got back to her hotel around 8:30 pm and instantly asked reception to call the police.

15 men were detained in connection with the rape. They gave the police information about the suspects then were released. Raids are currently being conducted, and "we expect to have a breakthrough within the hour," says the police official. The Danish woman flew back home this morning.

Every beautiful country has its ugly. India's ugly is apparently its problem with gang rapes. But once female tourists stay close to company then I don't think that they should be any problems. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
