8 Year Old Hero, Tyler Doohan, Gets A Firefighter's Funeral.

Sup Travellers?! Remember 8 year old Tyler Doohan? I wrote about him a couple days ago so some of you should remember him. And even if you didn't read about him on here i'm sure you must have seen him on TV. Tyler Doohan is being regarded as a hero for saving 6 people from a deadly fire. He died in the process but his actions aren't being forgotten.

The fallen hero was given a honorary firefighter's funeral on Wednesday at St. John of Rochester Catholic Church. Firefighters from all over the Rochester area lined the church lobby to pay their respects. Penfield Fire Chief Chris Ebmeyer dedicated a red-and-white fire helmet to Doohan. "We consider him an honorary firefighter," Ebmeyer said. A basketball team from Silver Lake College of the Holy Family in Manitowoc, Wisconsin even showed up to serve as pallbearers.

"I wish you were here for me to hold you," Tyler's mother said at the funeral. "I know you don't want to see us sad, but we will see you again someday; and we will be happy again. You will never be forgotten."

The headlines are always filled with crazy and tragic stories but it's always good to find one that can uplift your spirit. Even though Doohan's death was very tragic it makes me have a bit more faith in the human race. The fact that this boy put himself at risk and selflessly tried to save all the people caught in the fire is something to be greatly admired. RIP Tyler Doohan. My name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
