8 Year Old Boy Saves 6 People In Fire But Died Trying To Save 7th.

Sup Travellers?! Not everyday I get to report on a hero, but today is that day. The story of 8 year old Tyler Doohan is one of bravery and heroism but it is also one of great sadness. According to reports from USA Today, Tyler died in a trailer fire in Rochester, New York on Monday after saving 6 lives. He wasn't able to save everyone but he is now being remembered for his act of heroism that allowed 6 people to return to their families.

When the fire started Tyler was able to wake six people and get them out of the trailer. Tyler himself escaped the fire without much harm but officials say that he ran back to attempt to save his disabled uncle and grandfather but died along with them in the process. "He saved those other six people," says the fire chief in nearby Penfield. Those who made it out include two children ages 4 and 6.

There is no explanation on what caused the trailer to catch a fire but it is said that it was in a horrible state to begin with. Officials assume that it was an electrical malfunction that caused the fire. The East Rochester School District superintendent says that he wasn't surprised to hear of Tyler's actions. "That's the type of young man he was, and in my heart and the heart of East Rochester, he's a true hero.

The untimely death of someone is always tragic but when that death caused six other people to live it makes it a whole lot more meaningful. I salute Tyler for his act of bravery and I hope that his family is rewarded in some way for raising such a heroic child. Some people may say that he was crazy for going back in the trailer to save his uncle and grandfather but if he wasn't "crazy" more people would have died in the fire. RIP to Tyler Doohan. My name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
