Sup Travellers?! There are a lot of stories from Trinidad that I don't cover for the sake of not making my country look bad. However, there are times when you just have to expose the shit that goes on. What animal human rapes a six year old, kills her and stuffs the dead body in a barrel? That's some Sean Luke shit all over again [Sean Luke was a six year old boy from Trinidad who was sexually assaulted with a cane and left in a canefield in 2006]. Rape, murder and pedophilia are horrible individually but to combine all those three in one assault is something that I have no words for.

The Trinidad Express reports that police found themselves in a four day search for six year old Keyana Cumberbatch. She had been missing since Monday evening, after returning home from St Barbara’s Shouter Baptist Primary School, where she was a second-year pupil. A stench from her dead body ensued and they eventually found the body stuffed in a barrel and covered with clothing in one of the bedrooms of her Maloney home yesterday afternoon. It's kind of strange that her body was found at her home. I'm not saying that it was one of her relatives responsible but the fact that she went undetected for so long was strange. Police are investigating. Forensic Pathologist Dr Valery Alexandrov says that Keyanna Cumberbatch died of blunt force trauma to the head. Alexandrov also stated that there was evidence that the six year old was sexually assaulted while unconscious.

The news of Keyana's discovery spread throughout the country of Trinidad like wildfire causing scores of people to become enraged. Some people promised to carry out protest action if the person responsible for killing the child was not arrested and prosecuted. “Bring him here. Let him go here and we will deal with him in the right way. Allyuh feel Laventille people bad? Bring him here and let him go,” they shouted.

Would the police ever find the killer? It's Trinidad so you can't really be sure. Police these days couldn't even find a bag of weed if it was boxed and mailed to their front door, let alone a pedophilia rapist killer [Okay, maybe I exaggerated a bit on that one. Trinidad police aren't that awful]. Let's just wait and see how this story develops but until then, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
