NOTE: This Is Not A Paid Political Announcement.

Sup Travellers?! If you know anything about me you'd know that I don't care about Politics. I know that politics is important in any society BLAH BLAH BLAH but i'd prefer to write about Donkeys any day than about politics. Donkeys don't make false promises just to get votes. But Ian Alleyne joining UNC/PP is actually news to me. Didn't Ian Alleyne say on NATIONAL TELEVISION that he's not for sale? He did say that, but apparently he's for rent.

Don't get me wrong, I like Ian Alleyne. I like Ian Alleyne as an entertainer. I like Ian Alleyne as a vigilante. I like Ian Alleyne as a Television personality. He makes good television on a weekday evening. I'm not sure if he'll make a good politician though. Ian seems a bit shaky as a person but I guess he deserves a chance.....RIGHT? I think he should be giving a chance to try to represent St. Joseph, so does Errol Fabian and so does Om Lalla. I'm just really taken aback by the fact that Ian took sides in the whole political arena. I'm no expert in media but I do know that media personnel are advised not to publicly proclaim their political affiliation. That's just a rule of thumb. But I don't know if he's planning on keeping his job on CNC3 after this though. We'll just have to wait and see.

But anyhow you take it, Ian Alleyne is still not guaranteed to win. He would have had a better chance if he had done like Errol Fabian and be an independent. Why? Because the amount of people that would vote for him as an independent would drop considerably since he took sides. That's just how it goes with politics. Everybody loves Ian Alleyne but not everyone loves UNC/PP. Ian Alleyne or not, it's still the UNC/PP.

The Peoples National Movement (PNM) has named Senator Terrence Deyalsingh as its candidate for St. Joseph. Last night, the Independent Liberal Party (ILP) named attorney Om Lalla as its candidate. Comedian and broadcaster Errol Fabien would also be contesting the seat. But whoever wins in the November 4th by-election it doesn't change the fact that my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
