Sup Travellers?! A Pastor's job is to relay the message of God to people who are willing to listen and make a change. That involves using scripture from the Bible. That's all good and proper. Spread the good word. I think the world needs to hear some good news. But there is a limit to what a Pastor can and cannot do. As a pastor, publicly burning the holy book of another religion is horrid, vulgar and ungodly. Jesus never did that and never commanded anyone to do that. If you don't like something you have no right to burn it. That's God's job. I don't support veganism, but you don't see me burning down trees. Do you? Do you? Read on.
According to reports from the UK Guardian, Police arrested Florida Pastor Terry Jones yesterday as he drove to a park to light nearly 3,000 Qur'ans on fire to protest the 2001 terrorist attacks. Sheriff's deputies arrested the 61-year-old and his associate pastor on felony charges as he drove a pickup truck towing a barbecue-style grill filled with Qur'ans soaked in kerosene. He had said he was heading to a nearby park in Mulberry to burn 2,998 Qur'ans one for every victim of the 9/11 attacks. Sheriff's officials said that Jones was also charged with the unlawful open-carry of a firearm and that Sapp faced a charge of having no valid registration for the trailer. Both were being booked into the Polk County jail, according to Sheriff Grady Judd.
Pastor Terry Jones is very well known for being anti-Muslim. In 2010 he rose to fame when he said that he was planning on burning a Qur'an on 9/11. He later called off the
attack the plans. His congregation did burn the Muslim holy book in March 2011, and last year he promoted an anti-Muslim film. The US Military have also urged the Pastor to not stage his protests because it puts American and Western troops in Afghanistan and elsewhere in danger. Imagine if the muslim people in those islamic countries see his protests and decide to retaliate. Bad things can happen. I think that Pastor Terry Jones should focus his attention on spreading the holy word of God and not on destroying the holy word of other religions. It's more legal. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
