Sup Travellers?! Justice is a really weird thing to define because no amount of court dates or sentences can bring back or properly suffice the victims of crime. I don't consider justice by judges to be the real justice but I just consider it the next best thing. Back in April I wrote an article about a 17 year girl named Rehtaeh Parsons from Canada who attempted suicide after a photo of her allegedly being sexually assaulted was shared online. Her suicide attempt failed but she eventually died after she was taken off life support. You can read that article by clicking HERE.

According to reports from the National Post the Police in Canada said Thursday they made two arrests in the cyberbullying case of 17-year-old Rehtaeh Parsons who died after a photo of her allegedly being sexually assaulted was shared online. Her mother said a boy took a photo of the alleged assault in 2011 and that her daughter was bullied for months after it went viral. There were no suspects at that time but according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Cpl. Scott MacRae, two arrests were made on Thursday. No further information was given.

"Due to the sensitive nature around this investigation, the investigators do want to ensure that no court process is affected," MacRae said.

"We're just hopeful there's charges laid and others to arrest, hoping that they're finally willing to tell their side of the story," Leah Parsons, Rehtaeh's mother, said. "A sense of relief came over me that at least they're going to be questioned."

Let's not dwell on the fact that she killed herself anymore, that happened a long time ago. We could all say that suicide is a stupid thing to do and I agree, it is. But let's focus on the fact that there are still cyber bullies out there who are targeting insecure little girls. Cyber bullying should be taken just as seriously as murder and burglary. Who agrees? This is not the first time something like this happened. Who remembers Amanda Todd? There was also another teen suicide that happened on Friday that i'm going to write about soon. I hope that justice is served in all these cases, anyway my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
