TRINIDAD: Youth From Trinidad Shot Dead On George Street Port Of Spain.

Sup Travellers?! If you're from Trinidad and Tobago i'm sure that you have become quite accustom to hearing news about folks being shot dead. I'm not portraying negativity towards my country, but i'm just being honest. It's a normal occurrence now. Almost every single day someone is shot dead in Trinidad and well, things doesn't seem to be changing from my perspective of things. Just Sunday morning, a 25 year old man was shot dead on George Street Port of Spain. Yes, George street.

According to reports from the Trinidad and Tobago Newsday, 25 year old Robelto Khan was shot dead on Sunday morning at about 1am while liming on George street, Port of Spain. Residents of George Street in Port-of-Spain heard several gunshots and contacted the police.  When officers arrived at the scene they found Khan lying in the yard of an apartment building off George Street. He had been shot multiple times including in his chest and face.  Khan was rushed to Port-of-Spain General Hospital where he died while receiving emergency treatment. No arrest has been made nor a motive established. Investigations are continuing.

Khan's mother Nadine Khan told the Newsday: “He was a nice person, very good looking too. He was just out liming and I think that simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time is what led to him being murdered,

As a mother i'll assume that it's hard to know what's the real deal with your children. For all we know, Robelto could have been a drug dealer who made a bad deal and paid for it with his life. Or he could have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time according to his mom. But whatever the case may have been, it doesn't change the fact that my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.

  1. It really could be the latter, who knows. Over the years lots of bystanders have been shot innocently so the possibility exist that it could be so, however it was may his soul RIP!!

  2. Gaza mi seh! (Insert some other saying that breeds ignorance here)
