SPORTS: Chris Gayle Scores Fastest Century Ever Today In The History Of Cricket.

Sup Travellers?! How are you this fine day? I personally love being from the Caribbean. The Caribbean has bred so many awesome people. People like Usain Bolt, Bob Marley, Brian Lara, Wendy Fitzwilliam, Kershorn Walcott, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj. Oh wait, did I mention Chris Gayle? I don't think I did. He definitely deserves to join the list of the most awesome people in the Caribbean especially after his recent demolition up in India.

West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle today set a new record for the fastest century in the history of professional cricket in all forms, with a 30-ball century for his team Royal Challengers Bangalore, playing in the Indian Premier League against Pune Warriors. He then went on to make an unbeaten 175 off 66 balls, when he ran out of overs.

Now here is a little run down of his run count leading up to the centurty: 7 dot balls, 4 singles,"LOL...4 SINGLES ALONE LMAO!!!" 8 fours and 11 sixes at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. The fact that Chris only made 4 singles for his century it is quite obvious that Chris Gayle didn't go out there to play skip rope. He went out there to kill some sh*t

By the time he walked off the field, he had amassed 17 sixes and 13 fours in total of 263 for five. 263 is the highest total ever in a Twenty20 innings.

His 17 sixes is also a record for a T20 innings. His strike rate was an astonishing 265.15. The previous best was a 34 ball century by Australia's Andrew Symonds nine years ago.

The record in 50-over cricket is Shahid Afridi's 37-ball century for Pakistan against Sri Lanka in 1996. The Test record belongs to Gayle's fellow West Indian Viv Richards, who hit a 56-ball 100
against England in Antigua in 1986.

The score was more than enough with the Pune team only able to muster 133 in their 20 overs. Gayle, who also bowled, took two wickets for five runs in his team's victory.

Gayle is a beast with the bat. You can't deny that. How many batsmen you know can hit 17 sixes in a Twenty20 game? Not much. Anyway, my name is Trinikid and you've just been informed.
