TRINIDAD: Winston Dookeran May Replace George Maxwell Richards As President Of Trinidad And Tobago.

The election of a new President of Trinidad and Tobago will occur on the 15th of February 2013 and there are many hopefuls for the office. Well there is only really two hopefuls to be specific. According to sources, the current Minister of Foreign Affairs Winston Dookeran is up for the office so is Wade Mark.

According to government sources, the United National Congress (UNC), the majority party in the coalition, is of the view that Speaker Wade Mark should be appointed President but COP wants Winston Dookeran to be appointed President. But at the end of the day the honorable Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has the final say in who will take the office.

We'll just have to wait and see who the Prime Minister picks after the matter is discussed in Cabinet.
