Same shiz different year. I don't think that there was anyone in T&T that actually thought that the crime problem would have at least slowed down in 2013. A new year is not the solution. Now don't get me wrong, i'm not here to make the twin island look bad, but I must admit that i'm disappointed. We are 11 days into the new year and 6 people have already been murdered. Two people were murdered yesterday a few hours apart. One was in Laventille while another was at Malabar.

Police reported that at about 11.30 am, residents of Laventille Road, Laventille heard several loud explosions and later found Joseph in a pool of blood in the yard of a two-storey house. The young man, who hailed from Mulrain Trace off Picton Road, Laventille was rushed to Port-of- Spain General Hospital where he died while receiving emergency treatment.

Then at about 2.45 pm, officers from the Arima Police Station received a report of a shooting incident near the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar. Police reported that James was driving a white Nissan Sunny car in a southernly direction along the Larry Gomes Link Road, when two gunmen walking at the side of the road, opened fire at James’ car.  The bullets penetrated the car and struck James. He bled to death.

It was also reported that the skeletal remains of a 65 year old man was found in the Cunaripo forest. Police say that it could be the remains of a man who went missing since Februaury 2012.

I'm not going to get all judgmental because I love my country, but it's a friggin slaughterhouse out there. It's a jungle out there man!!!
