According to reports from international news source, Reuters, a fire at a nightclub in Brazil claimed the lives of 232 people which consisted mostly of College students. It was at the University capital of Brazil, Santa Maria. The fire started when a band's pyrotechnics show went seriously wrong and caught the entire building on fire. The majority of people who lost their lives either died from smoke inhalation or were trampled to death trying to escape, as the club is known to hold up to 3,000 people on the weekends and there were no visible exit signs.

"It all happened so fast," survivor Taynne Vendrusculo told GloboNews TV. "Both the panic and the fire spread rapidly, in seconds."

The President of Brazil, Dilma Roussef, left a Summit he was attending in Chile to be with his people in their time of need.

"The Brazilian people are the ones who need me today. I want to tell the people of Santa Maria in this time of sadness that we are all together." President Dilma Roussef stated.

My heart goes out to everyone who lost their life and the family of the victims. A lot of potential had been burned in the fire because many of the dead were very ambitious youths who were studying in College. They just went to have a great time that night and to enjoy a pyrotechnics show, but things went horribly wrong. R.I.P.................................................
