The natural disasters just keep on taking precious lives. First Hurricane Sandy blew down parts of the Caribbean and US and now an earthquake rocked Guatemala... Good grief!!! According to reports a 7.4 magnitude earthquake rocked the coast of Guatemala and in the process it killed 39 people. President of Guatemala, Otto Perez Molina, declared a state of emergency, urging people to evacuate tall buildings.

The earthquake's epicenter was 5 miles southwest of Champerico at a depth of about 26 miles, but buildings shook as far away as Mexico City, and one in San Salvador actually toppled over, Reuters reports.

"It was really big, I felt quite nauseous," says one woman who was in a 10th-floor office in Guatemala City.

There hasn't been any significant warning for a massive Tsunami but officials assume that a very small one was triggered (localized).
