Just when I thought that all hope was lost at the London Olympics for a Trinidad to bring home gold, a young Trinidadian by the name of Kershorn Walcott rekindled the Trinidad torch of hope. The 19 year old made his way to the finals of the men's javelin throw with a throw of 81.75. Eventhough it isn't the best throw made in the semis, there is always time to improve. If he can make a throw of below 78.0, he has a real good chance of winning gold.

The finals of the men's javelin throw will take place on Saturday. There is still hope for gold, let's keep our fingers crossed and pray that this youngster brings it home for T&T.

WE GOING FOR GOLD!!!!
